Dentistry

I qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2016 with BDS (Hons.). I then carried out a Dental Foundation Year in general practice in Halifax, providing both NHS and private treatments. I developed my basic dental skills and gained experience in managing various conditions. I provided a range of dental treatments including crowns, bridges, root canal treatments and extractions.

I have carried out a Dental Core Training (DCT) post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. I was involved with managing facial fractures, acute infections and wounds. Additionally, I was part of a team managing complex head and neck cancer cases and other pathologies. I spent time on wards, in A&E and on clinics. I am currently working as a Specialty Doctor in Chesterfield in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, managing similar cases as well as carrying out intravenous (IV) sedation for anxious patients. I have also developed my skills in surgical extractions and soft tissue surgery. I also work as an Associate Dentist providing both NHS and private routine dental care to patients at Montgomery Dental Care in Sheffield. 

I have been awarded my Diploma of Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. I have completed the Edward Jenner Leadership Programme. I recently completed my Certificate in Medical Education with Merit and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I have a passion for education and teaching, which I have pursued through many avenues. I have presented multiple lectures to final year undergraduate dental students as well as provide one-to-one teaching, in both theory and clinical skills. I am committed to promoting revision resources to students through my website, dentalnotebook, and my SBA revision book, Single Best Answer Questions for Dentistry. I have been involved in mock Dental Foundation interviews for final year dental students through Dental Training Consultants.
