About Me
Dentistry allows me to freely express both my creative and academic sides. I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery (Hons.) in 2016. I followed this by working in general practice to advance my dental skills. I have since worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Sheffield and Chesterfield. This has provided me with great experience in oral surgery, facial trauma, infections and oncology. I am currently progressing my skills in providing sedation to patients. I love the opportunity to interact with patients from all walks of life and, hopefully, provide them the highest standard of care. I currently work as an Associate Dentist in Sheffield and a Specialty Doctor in OMFS in Chesterfield. I have also completed my exam for the Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS). Since graduating I have sought to develop my skills in teaching and education, this has led to completion of my Certificate in Medical Education with Merit and membership as a Fellow to the Higher Education Academy. Most recently, I because of Member of the Faculty of Dental Trainers.
I have a great passion for educating and teaching which is demonstrated through numerous projects of mine. My first project was an app, Tooth Morphology, which I developed in 2012. This provides basic dental anatomy and tooth development information for dental students. I then started dentalnotebook in 2013 in order to provide educational resources to dentists and dental students. This website has grown substantially over the years and provides a magnitude of resources. I have produced a dental revision book, Single Best Answery Questions for Dentistry, which provides questions for exam preparation. I deliver lectures on various academic topics, such as preparing for finals exams, as well as examining on mock interview panels. Most recently, I have launched an online revision platform, ExamineDental, aimed at providing dental students and dentists further revision resources.
I have been creating and designing websites since the age of 13. Over the years, I have built many websites for various uses including forums, shops and businesses. Creating bespoke websites is one of my passions – reflecting my creativity. My passion for website development, combined with my knowledge of medicine and dentistry, allows me to create perfectly tailored websites in the health sector. I started developing mobile apps since 2012, primarly for personal projects. Over the years, I have been driven to increasing and adapting my knowledge on website and app development to allow me to create the best end-products.
Aside from these interests, I love to read and play sports, including cricket and football. I also have a keen interest in music and regularly play the guitar.
Prateek helped us with the website for MY Courses. Dealing with people who know nothing about website building, that’s me and my surgical teaching team, Prateek patiently listened to ideas and realised them to the website. We were extremely delighted with the website and the easy navigation it afforded us and delegates interested in our courses. I was even more delighted when we decided to change the name and look of the website to which then became Yorkshire Clincal Courses, and this was done quickly, efficiently, and without any fuss or bother.
